New songs from different artists available for free download in a podcast. Música de Graça is a portal of recommendations, which produces and releases new songs for free, for the public to download, send it to whoever they want to, or even make their own remix (given it is not for commercial use), since the compositions are released under a Creative Commons license – a nonprofit organization that offers flexible licensing for intellectual works.

Música de Graça does not choose styles, new musicians or renown artists. According to Dani Gurgel, creator and developer of the project, “the aim is to draw connections between entirely different musicians showing that they are linked in one way or another. As it is an eclectic repertoire in an easily accessible website, I hope to reach a wider audience and give the audience the opportunity to hear other creations of great artists, as well as new and unknown musicians.”

Each month, a group of artists is brought together by Dani Gurgel in the Oca – Casa de Som studios to record a new song and an interview.

Música de Graça is an initiative by Da Pá Virada, with the support of ProAc (Cultural Programme of Action – Ministry of Culture of the State of São Paulo) for the first year of production. Want to contribute to future editions? Contact us!
